What is Badugi Poker?

Badugi is a new game taking the online poker world by storm. It is an action-packed game combining the most exciting elements of poker with a new spin on hand values and psychology.

This poker form originated in Korea and is now rapidly becoming popular in North America and Europe. An increasingly popular alternative to Texas Holdem among new poker players  Badugi is now available on the Tribecca Network online, whose poker rooms include VC Poker, Blue Square Poker  and Doyles Room.

Badugi is a is a triple draw four card low-hand wins game. Don't panic! It's all very straight forward. It  simply means you get to change / draw cards three times in your attempt to make the lowest four card hand. Each round of play and betting will be familiar to those who have played Texas Hold'em.

 The best low hand is comprised of four cards, containing none of the same suit, and none of the same rank. That means  ace, two, three, four all of different suits is the best possible hand!!

And a Badugi? Well, when  you find yourself holding 4 cards of different rank and suit then you are said to be holding a..... Badugi.

Warning! Although similar, Badugi is not the same as the European game called Paduki. Do be sure to read the game rules before attempting to play.
