| Poker Pro, one of the biggest poker magazines in
the world, is to launch a European edition later this year.
Poker Pro Europe will go on sale in September 2006 and
aims to cash in on the explosive growth the game is going
through in Europe.
The new magazine will follow the tested and proved formula of
its parent publication and will include an informative mixture
of profiles, tips, news, advice and strategy.
The format will be glossy and the style breezy. It will be
available in around 8,000 European shops including WH Smith,
Spar and Budgens as well as smaller retailers.
Publisher Dan Jacobs said: "Poker is set to explode in
Europe and players are hungry for information.
"Poker Pro Europe will capture the drama and the fun of
European poker, both in cardrooms and on the growing European
tournament circuit.
"If it is happening on the European poker scene, you
will find it in Poker Pro Europe."
Editor in chief John "Johnny Quads" Wenzel added:
""European players are a growing force in the poker
world.
"The new magazine will be all about them and the
European poker lifestyle. The next generation of poker champions
will come from Poker Pro Europe readers."
